This weekend we enter the season of Advent- a time of prayer and preparation, of renewal and anticipation for the coming of saviour, Jesus Christ. We keep you all in our prayers.

We will be collecting gift cards until Friday, December 10th. When students bring in a card, they will have an opportunity to add an ANGEL to our Christmas Tree. We hope we have a beautiful Tree full of Blessed Angels this year! Thank you in advance for your generosity to help our community.
CSC Family Outdoor Christmas Gingerbread ‘Drive By’
We are very excited to announce that On Monday, December 6th, our Catholic School Council invites you to come to our ‘drive by’ Family Christmas Gingerbread Night (outdoors). There will be lights, lots of photo opportunities and chance to pre-order a Gingerbread House for pickup (Please let the office know if you didn’t get a chance to order, but you would like one).
We invite families to drive through our school’s front loop, where you will see lots of lights and pickup your pre-ordered gingerbread houses. We are inviting families between 5:30-7:00pm. Please continue to respect all Halton Public Health Mandates, maintaining social distance and wearing a mask if you are closer than 2 meters of someone, not in your family. We really appreciate your support with this.
KEEPING CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS STUDENT CONTEST
The 9th Annual ‘Keeping Christ in Christmas’ Student Contest will be open for entries from November 5 through December 3, 2021.
Progress Report Update
There have been some Board-wide technical issues with distributing this term’s Progress Reports. The issues involve the HCDSB’s switch to a new Student Information System. If you still haven’t received or haven’t been able to access a copy of your child’s Progress Report, let your child’s teacher know and a hard copy can be sent home. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH A DISABILITY
International Day of People with Disabilities is Friday, December 3rd. We recognize this day and work to promote an inclusive, accessible and sustainable world. We are blessed at St. Benedict to have a diverse community of learners and look forward to recognizing this day in our whole school with teacher led activities, celebrating student abilities and uniqueness!
