Yesterday started Mr. Guerin’s Fundraiser journey for the HCCEF by walking 24km in 24 hours. Today he dedicates his day to praying the Rosary with the St. Benedict Community at sunrise, noon and sunset. Tomorrow, Mr. Guerin will be fasting for 24 hours. We ask that you pray for him and consider donating to support his journey through SchoolCashOnline.
Catholic Graduate Expectation Focus for June
Thank you to all of our families for sharing on Twitter what it means to be a Caring Family Member during the month of May. During these exceptional times, it is important that we continue to show love, compassion, respect and patience to our loved ones. For the month of June, we want to recognize and celebrate all of our students who demonstrate what it means to be a RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN. Now, more than ever, as our communities begin to re-open, it is imperative that we consider how our individual actions can have a greater impact.
A Responsible Citizen is someone who: acts morally and legally as a person formed in Catholic traditions; accepts accountability for one’s own actions; seeks and grants forgiveness; promotes the sacredness of life; witnesses Catholic social teaching by promoting equality, democracy, and solidarity for a just, peaceful and compassionate society; and respects and affirms the diversity and interdependece of the world’s peoples and cultures.
We invite you to share how your child(ren) are responsible citizens througout the month of June on Twiter @StBeneHCDSB.

Mental Health and Well Being
When we stress over the things we can’t control, we can become very overwhelmed. Here is good reminder of the things that you can control. If you find yourself stressing over what is out of your control, try and shift your thinking and do things that you have control over. For example, exercise, read a book, meditate, journal writing, say a prayer or try something new.
