Weekly Update: December 6 – 10

“A voice of one calling: ‘In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.’”

Isaiah 40: 3-5

Prayer for the Advent Wreath

Lord, our God, we praise You for Your Son, Jesus Christ, for He is Emmanuel, the Hope of all people.
He is the Wisdom that teaches and guides us.
He is the Savior of us all.
O Lord,
let your blessing come upon us as we light two (purple) candles of this wreath.
May the wreath and its light be a sign of Christ’s promise of salvation.
May He come quickly and not delay.
We ask this in His holy name. Amen.

Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations Awards

The Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations (OCSGEs) were developed to provide a framework to represent the distinctiveness and purpose of Catholic education in Ontario. During the month of November, classroom teachers recognized one student in their class who exemplified the expectation of the month with consistency with a medallion.

During the month of November, we focused on ‘I HAVE A VOICE’:

· I speak, write and listen as Jesus would want me to.

· I care about others and speak up for them.

· I am honest.

· I think carefully before I react or speak.

· I respect all people and their languages.

· I listen to the Word of God.

· Because I have ideas, I have a purpose, and I will live my life like Jesus.

Today, we recognize the students who make every effort to consistently demonstrate the qualities within the focused expectation of the month.

Congratulations to the following recipients of the OCSGE Medallion for the month of November:
