“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” John 20:31

Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations Awards

The Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations (OCSGEs) were developed to provide a framework to represent the distinctiveness and purpose of Catholic education in Ontario. At the end of October, classroom teachers began recognizing one student in their class who exemplified the expectation of the month with consistency with a medallion.

The focus of each month is as follows:

  • October: I am a believer
  • November: I have a voice
  • January: I have ideas
  • February: I am a learner for life
  • March: I am a team player
  • April: I care
  • May: I have responsibilities

During the month of October, we focused on ‘I AM A BELIEVER’:

· I believe that God is an awesome God.

· I believe and have faith in God.

· I believe that God is with us always.

· I believe that we can talk to God anytime and anywhere, through prayer.

· I believe in the stories of the Bible.

· I believe in the stories of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.

· I believe in the Church community, celebrating Mass, and the seven Sacraments.

· I believe in forgiveness.

· Because I am a believer, I will live my life like Jesus.

Today, we recognize the students who make every effort to consistently demonstrate the qualities within the focused expectation of the month.

The #NoHateInHalton Campaign

The #NoHateInHalton will launch on Monday, November 8th in schools across the Halton Region. This is a community campaign that was developed by our Halton Regional Police Services in collaboration with the four school districts in Halton.

As a school, we will be promoting this campaign through various activities in the classroom, and on social media. We are fortunate to live in such a vibrant and diverse community and are committed to nurturing a safe, welcoming and inclusive school where all students, families and staff know they are valued, respected, accepted and safe. Let’s work together to ensure that there is #NoHateInHalton!

Remembrance Day

On November 11th, we honour those who lost their lives serving our country. On this day, each class will participate in a virtual liturgy led by our grade 7 students.

Parent-Teacher Interviews

We will be holding Parent-Teacher Interviews at the school on Thursday, November 25th and Friday, November 26th.  This year’s parent-teacher interviews will be held virtually on TEAMs and parents will be able to schedule Parent-Teacher Interviews online through a link shared by the classroom teacher.

You will be able to make appointments beginning Friday, November 12th until Friday, November 19th. Teachers will be sharing a Google Form Link for all parents to access and select a suitable time.  Virtual interviews will be 10 minutes in length.  Teachers will send parents a TEAMS link a few days prior to your scheduled interview time.

If you wish to schedule a meeting with any of your child’s other teachers, such as the PTM, FSL, ARTS, Resource Teacher or Rotary Teacher, contact them directly via email so that they can reach out to you in order to set up a time on one of the two days mentioned above.  Those teachers, along with their emails, as listed below.
