Weekly Update March 22 – 26

God of compassion,
you know our faults and yet you promised to forgive.
Keep us in your presence and give us your wisdom.
Open our hearts to gladness,
call dry bones to dance,
and restore to us the joy of your salvation. Amen

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Thank you for continuing to complete the daily self-screening with your children. Students exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19 as well as their siblings will be sent home from school unless they are a result of a previously diagnosed condition.

Remember to send children to school with at least one spare mask so they can change soiled masks during the day. We also ask you to remind children to socially distance themselves from their peers when walking to and from school, especially if they are unmasked.

World Down Syndrome Day

March 21st is World Down syndrome day. This is a day to raise awareness of Down syndrome
and celebrate that every person is unique and different. We mark this day by wearing silly
socks, colourful socks, and mismatched socks. Help us celebrate World Down syndrome day by wearing your silly and/or mismatched socks on March 22nd. This specific day was chosen because 03/ 21 represents the presence of three chromosomes in the 21st chromosomal pair. Down syndrome is also known as Trisomy 21. For more information visit the websites for the Down Syndrome Association of Ontario (www.DSAO.ca) or the Down Syndrome Association of Simcoe County (www.DSASC.ca).

Thank you to those who have donated to HCCF through the St. Anthony Cares team. We have reached $700 of our $5000 goal. To participate, you may donate directly through the Canada Helps link. For those who wish to collect pledges from family and friends, the link to the pledge form is attached below.
