Weekly Update: May 25 – 29

Dear Parents and Guardians:

As announced by the Ministry of Education on Tuesday, we are saddened to say that schools will be closed for the remainder of the school year. Please be assured that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

Distance learning will continue for students until the end of June. Please encourage your children to continue to login and complete class assignments. Refer any difficulties you are having to your child’s teacher or to administration.

At this time, the school board is working with the board of health to determine a plan to allow families to pick up student belongings. Once this plan is finalized, you will be informed.

As previously communicated, all payments made through school cashonline have been refunded. If you have not received a refund for a payment made through this forum, please contact the school. The board is working on a plan to allow for secretaries to prepare refunds for payments made via cash or cheque. Thank you for your continued patience in this regard.

We recognize the difficulties placed upon students and families at this time. Plans are currently being made to celebrate the grade eight students who will be graduating from St. Anthony of Padua School. Communication will be made to those families once they are finalized.
