We are happy to announce the Bishop Reding Family of Schools has invited a renowned guest speaker, Ann Douglas, to speak to all our family of schools (Bishop Reding, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Peter, Our Lady of Victory, Holy Rosary). She is a bestselling parenting author and columnist for CBC Radio. She has also written several books; The Mother of all Books (series), Parenting Through the Storm, Happy Parents, Happy Kids.

The focus of Ann’s discussion will be raising resilient children – specifically looking at strategies for encouraging mental health and resilience in all family members, including yourself. In this practical and story-rich presentation, bestselling author Ann Douglas will share some parent-proven and science-backed strategies for thriving as a family. You’ll learn about parenting strategies that bring out the best (as opposed to the worst) in both kids and parents; stress management and coping skills that work well for all family members; and why it’s so important to prioritize the four pillars of good mental health (sleep, physical activity, nutrition, and tapping into support from others).  Good for all ages!

Please join us on April 30th (6:30 PM) at Bishop Reding for an evening of information.  We will also have our community partners available to answer questions on any topics that might be of significance to you.  We are offering a free copy of Ann’s most recent book Happy Parents, Happy Kids to the first 200 registrations.  Please look at the attached flyer for more information and the format for the evening.
