Weekly Update: April 8-12

In today’s Gospel, Jesus shows great mercy and compassion to the woman accused of adultery. As followers of Christ, do we, too, practice mercy and compassion in our lives? As we prepare to celebrate the resurrection of Christ at Easter on April 21st, Holy Rosary Parish will host a Lenten Evening of Reflection at Jean Vanier High School between 7 & 9 PM. Reconciliation is held on Saturdays from 3:30 to 4:30 PM or by appointment.

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Basketball teams for a great season. The Boys were eliminated from the system finals in a hard fought quarter finals game. The Girls won the quarter-finals and will play in the semi-finals this week. Thanks to the coaches – Mr. Stelter, Ms. Marzilli, Mr. Zielke, & Mr. Mahaney

Thank you:

Thank you to the members of the Catholic School Council and Sheilagh Borcsok from Holy Rosary Parish for facilitating our Family Faith Night this past Thursday. Thanks also to the student readers, leaders, and the teachers who came out to make the night so successful. Thank you to No Frills for your support of our school.

Bike Drive:

Attention SAOP families! This spring we are having a Bike Drive Collection. If your son or daughter has outgrown their bike and you’re not sure what to do with the old bike you can donate it to a child in need. We will be collecting bikes on May 1st and 2nd. The bikes will be donated to New Hope Community Bikes which services the GTHA. Even if the bike is broken, they can repair it and make a child smile ! Bikes can be dropped off at the front of the school.
