School Update: Dec. 6, 2021

As we continue into our Second Week of Advent, we are reminded to enjoy the journey, to proceed a little more slowly and intentionally towards Christmas to notice what God is doing in our lives. Our Grade 3s have created a PowerPoint Advent Liturgy which has been shared with our classrooms today. Look for this Liturgy on your child’s D2L home page or connect with your child’s teacher for the link if you are interested in viewing this Liturgy.

We only have two more weeks of school left before our Christmas break! Please see below for some information and updates:

Our next Focus on Faith Liturgy will be Friday, December 17th in the morning. This month’s theme is Community and the Common Good, our Grade 3 and Grade 5 classroom focus. For more information on this month’s theme, please click here:

It looks like we will have an Early Dismissal on Friday, December 17th which will be 90 minutes earlier than our regular dismissal. Our Kindergarten friends will be dismissed at 1:25-1:30pm, followed by our Primary students (Grades 1-3) at 1:35pm, and then our Juniors and Intermediates at 1:40pm. This day will also be a NON-UNIFORM day, where we encourage everyone to dress in Red and Green to get into the holiday spirit!

Our Advent Food Drive continues! The Burlington Food Bank was already here on Friday to do a pick up because we had over 1000lbs of goods already! Keep it up! We will continue to collect items for the Burlington Food Bank this week so please give what you can to help those most in need this Christmas season.

Our Grade 8 students are supporting our Angel Tree initiative this year, with cards labeled and ready to go for you to choose. If you are able to donate a specific gift based on our “angel cards” please reach out to your child’s teacher to give them permission to take a card from our Angel Tree for you to purchase a gift for a designated age range. All donations need to be at our school by Wednesday, December 15th. Thank you for supporting our student led initiatives this year and giving back to our community during this Advent Season.

Last chance for St. Anne Spirit Wear! Our online store will be closing soon. Please check our website for more information:

Please stay healthy and follow all current Public Health Guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our community.
