We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather!

Here are a few other quick reminders:

Thank you for your orders towards our Big Box Fundraiser! We sold over 600 boxes, which means we will be able to participate in the draw for the iPod Touch or the Samsung Tablet. Once our orders are in the school, our classroom teachers will be organizing delivery to ensure that our products are staying within a cohort. Family orders will go to the OLDEST child’s classroom. Please connect with the classroom teachers if you will need to pick up larger orders and they can arrange to have items at the office. Otherwise, boxes will be sent home with your child on a specific date. Stay tuned!

Today you will be receiving information about the return of PIZZA DAY to our school! As part of our Board’s Return to School Plan, we were asked to wait until after Thanksgiving before beginning any food programs. We are going to start slowly, with the re-introduction of Pizza Days on Thursday starting on November 4th. Please review the information coming home and make your selection. This is a simpler order, with only pizza being offered to keep our delivery as smooth and safe as possible. Pizza Days will operate in accordance with Halton Public Health and HCDSB’s Return to School Plan and Volunteer Protocols.

Our school PHOTO DAY is this Friday, October 15th. Please see the flyer from Pegasus (our school photographer) that is posted on our website for more information about this day:

Halloween is fast approaching! With our current restrictions and the most recent information in our Return to School Plan, we can host a Halloween Dance-a-thon and Fundraiser this year, even though it will be a scaled down version as to what we are used to. Yes, students will be able to wear costumes on Friday, October 29th! Yes, students (in their class cohorts) will be able to visit the gym for a short Halloween Dance! We will not be collecting items for prizes this year, and our decorations will be kept to a minimum. Yes, we are hoping to raise funds to help support our school! Information on how you can help our school be the “best it can be” will come out next week! For now, please visit our website for Halloween costume guidelines and get ready for a spook-tacular day on Friday, October 29th for our students.

As capacity limits increase in indoor venues, we are still following our Return To School Plan so please don’t let your guard down when it comes to the safety and well-being of our St. Anne School community. Please remember to wear your masks when you cannot be physically and socially distanced, especially at dismissal time in our Kindergarten area. Please spread out using the back playground zones and be mindful of classes that may still be outside finishing up activities. Thank you for all you are doing to keep us all healthy. We are all in this together!
