School Update: June 18

Happy Friday to all our St. Anne Families!

With only one more week of synchronous learning to go, we wanted to give you a few updates as things begin to wrap up!

Thank you to our Grade 4s for their assistance with creating our “End of the Year Liturgy!” Students will be viewing this today. Please see the email sent on June 18th for the link to the Liturgy.

Our Grade 8s will have their Virtual Graduation Ceremony on Monday, June 21st! We want to extend our heartfelt wishes to this group of amazing individuals! We look forward to celebrating with them online on Monday, and then seeing them individually on Tuesday for their presentation of diplomas. Congratulations from everyone within the St. Anne Community and we wish you all the best as you head off to High School!

Term 2 Report Cards will be delivered electronically again on Wednesday, June 23rd. Information from the Board will be coming regarding this process. Once we have this info, we will share with you! Stay tuned!

Synchronous learning will end on Friday, June 25th. Teachers will be posting asynchronous material for Monday, June 28th and Tuesday, June 29th to allow for the pick-up and drop-off of materials to our school.

Information about our “Curbside Pick Up/Drop Off of materials will take place by class at specific times on Monday, June 28th. Please see the schedule of class times and door locations here:

Remember that this is a curbside pick-up, and we must follow all current Public Health guidelines, meaning we all have to maintain physical distancing during this pick up, and there will be no gatherings on our school property. Please come to the assigned door to drop off your materials and pick up your child’s items. Pylons will be set up at each station to help you maintain physical distancing.

Finally, one last reminder from our Board:

We value your feedback! Please take a few minutes to complete the HCDSB Strategic Plan Monitoring Survey: http://bit.ly/StratPlanSurvey2021. The survey will be open from June 9th until June 23 rd. Results will be used by senior staff to help evaluate our progress in meeting the goals of our Strategic Plan “Focus on Our Students: Strategic Plan 2016-2021” and will be included in the “Directors Report to Trustees – Year 5 of Implementation” in the fall. The survey is completely anonymous, and all data will be stored and protected by Research & Development Services. Questions about the survey can be directed to research@hcdsb.org.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and grandpas out there! May you all be immersed in Dad Jokes this weekend! Please enjoy this weekend safely following all current public health and safety measures!
