Beginning Monday, May 31st, youth aged 12 years of age and over who live or attend school in Halton will be able to book their COVID-19 vaccination through Halton Region’s online booking system.
Halton Region Public Health will offer first doses to all youth aged 12 to 17 years of age in June, and second doses by the end of August. Appointments for the Youth Vaccination Program will be available at Halton COVID-19 vaccination community clinic locations administering the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.
NOTE: Youth must have had their 12th birthday by the date of the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Starting on May 31:
- Youth 12 – 17 years of age may book first and second appointments by selecting the “12-17 year olds and eligible students returning to secondary school” eligibility tile in the online booking system.
- Youth 16 – 18 years of age, who have already scheduled a first or second dose appointment in a different category, using a different eligibility tile in the booking system (e.g., essential worker who cannot work from home), may rebook their second dose at a shorter interval, by clicking the “View/confirm, reschedule or cancel your appointment” button. They will need their confirmation number OR their date of birth, last name and postal code.
- Youth 18 – 21 years of age, who are returning to secondary school in September and have not yet booked an appointment or received their first dose, may book their first and second appointments by selecting the “12-17 year olds and eligible students returning to secondary school” tile in the online booking system. (If another eligibility tile in the booking system is selected, the second dose will be booked 16 weeks after the first dose.)
- Youth 19 – 21 years of age, who are returning to secondary school in September and have booked appointments at the 16 week interval, will be provided with information in upcoming weeks about how to rebook their second appointment.
