School Update Feb. 17

Good morning to all our St. Anne Families!

We hope you enjoyed your extended Family Day weekend! That snow hill in the back playground has gotten wider and the parking lots are getting crowded. So please remember to help us keep students off the snow hill and bring your patience (and your driving skills) when entering and exiting our parking lots. Everything we do is for the safety of our students. Make sure when you are dropping off your children in the morning you pull all the way up to the side to let them out through the passenger side of your car, and do not block waiting cars behind you!

We were experiencing some issues with the WiFi this morning at our school, so hopefully this has been resolved by now! If not, please know it is being worked on.

Here are a few quick reminders and updates as we begin Lent today: Today marks the beginning of Lent with Ash Wednesday. Even though we are not able to distribute Ashes today due to the pandemic, we have created a liturgy thanks to Mrs. Forsyth & Mrs. Comin’s Grade 3 classes. We will be viewing this presentation this morning, so when you have 12 minutes in your day, please click on the link that was sent in your email today to view our liturgy.

Palladium Way sidewalks were not cleared as of this morning. Please know that messages have been sent to the city thanks to our parent community. Hopefully this will be rectified as soon as possible.

Technology and Devices

Bring them in! If you still have one at home, please remember to send in as soon as possible! We will be following up with you directly if we have not received these items.

Reminder that Term 1 Report Cards for students in K-8 will be going home, electronically again, on Wednesday, February 24th. You will need your child’s OEN # which can be found on the top of the last report card in order to access these reports electronically.

Even though the stay at home order has been lifted and we have returned to the Red level in our community, all of the current Public Health guidelines are still in place for our school: wearing a mask at all times, including outside where physical distancing cannot be kept, no congregating in any areas (snow hill, park, etc) and daily screening must be done before coming to school each morning. Thank you sincerely for all your ongoing understanding and support!

Don’t forget we are still proceeding with our Fundraising initiatives, so if you visit COBS in Headon Forest (safely with masks of course!) mention that you are from St. Anne! Our FlipGive app/site is also still available to purchase items for yourself from various places! Both COBS and FlipGive give us percentages back every time! Click on our FlipGive page to join:

We are one community, so let’s remember to do our part to protect the Community and the Common Good as Jesus has taught us.

Yours in Catholic Education,
