RE: ENTRY PROCEDURES

To all our St. Anne Families!

Thank you all for a smooth first week!

I have checked in on every classroom once again today, getting to see some familiar eyes and meet new ones! Thank you all for your support in helping this amazing staff assist your children in adjusting to being back in school while learning about all the new procedures and Public Health protocols.

Earlier this week I emailed you our Exit Procedures. That email is also posted on our school website (which you can find here:

https://elem.hcdsb.org/stanne/2020/09/exit-procedures/).

Starting on Monday, September 14th when we all return to school we will NOT be meeting in the back playground. ENTRY Procedures will now be direct entry into the school starting at 8:25am. This means that upon arrival any time after 8:25am, students will be allowed through their DESIGNATED ENTRY DOOR to go directly to their classroom. These procedures were shown to each group of students this week by their teachers. This helps us maintain physical distancing as we can’t have everyone out on the yard in the morning at the same time. Please review this information with your children, so that you know the area to drop them off starting on Monday. For your specific entrances, please see the information below:

Kindergarten students will enter as usual on the Kindergarten side through their classroom doors inside the gate starting at 8:25am. Ms. Banks/Mrs. Paolozza’s class will enter through DOOR #3, which is the school door directly beside the Kindergarten Fenced Yard. This is the same entry as their exit procedures at dismissal.

ALL PRIMARY CLASSES have separate entry doors. Please see the list below:

Ms. Bolzan (Grade 1), Mrs. Maher (Grade 1), Mrs. Jarvis (Grade 1), Mrs. Lupo (Grade 2), Mrs. Guinto (Grade 2), Mrs. Carbone (Grade 2) and Mrs. von Boetticher (Grade 3) will be entering through DOOR #11 (which is on the Park side of the school near the front crosswalk) every morning starting at 8:25am.

Mrs. Zutt (Grade 2) and Miss Longo (Grade 3) will be entering through DOOR #10 (which is on the Park Side of the school at the back beside the entrance to the playground) every morning starting at 8:25am.

Mrs. Mallett (Grade 1), Mrs. Forbes (Grade 3), Mrs. Forsyth (Grade 3) and Mrs. Comin (Grade 3) will be entering through DOOR #3 (which is the school door directly beside the Kindergarten Fenced Yard) every morning starting at 8:25am.

NOTE: Primary classes will still exit at the end of the day to the back playground for pickup. The above doors are for the MORNING ENTRY only.

GRADE 4 AND GRADE 5 PORTABLE CLASSROOMS will be entering directly into their portables from the playground every morning starting at 8:25am.

GRADE 6 CLASSROOMS (Mrs. Martin, Mr. Osadciw, Mr. Driscoll) will be entering through DOOR #10 every morning (which is on the Park Side of the school at the back beside the entrance to the playground). This is the same door for their exit procedures.

GRADE 7 CLASSROOMS (Ms. Quintal, Mrs. Esteves) will enter through DOOR #3 on the Kindergarten side every morning starting at 8:25am. This is the same door for their exit procedures.

GRADE 7/8 (Mr. Campanelli) AND Mr. Sneyd’s GRADE 8 CLASSROOM will be entering through DOOR #10 (which is on the Park Side of the school at the back beside the entrance to the playground) every morning starting at 8:25am. This is the same door for their exit procedures.

Mr. Walmsley’s GRADE 8 CLASSROOM will enter through DOOR #11 which is on the Park side of the school near the front crosswalk every morning starting at 8:25am. This is the same door for their exit procedures.

Teachers have reviewed this entry door with the students this week, so let’s hope they remember by Monday! Just in case, this information will give you an idea of where your child will be entering and exiting our school at the start and end of every day, starting on Monday.

If you are dropping off or picking up your child(ren) to and from school, we recommend avoiding our parking lots and meeting students on the sidewalks. Please remember our Public Health guidelines and limit the amount of people coming to the school for pick up (and drop off) and spread out while you wait for your child(ren) as best you can.

Together, we made this week look easy. Let’s keep going and make sure Monday will run equally as well. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support as we work together to protect everyone to ensure a safe and healthy return to school!

Have a blessed and safe weekend!

Yours in Catholic Education,

Mr. B. Melanson
