Thank you all for a smooth start today!
I have checked in on every classroom this morning, and we all had our first recesses outside on the pavement, so we are all adjusting to back to school wonderfully, with our new procedures and Public Health protocols.
For those attending school today, and for the remainder of the week, your child’s classroom has been assigned an EXIT DOOR at the end of the day.
Kindergarten students, when they begin, will be picked up on the Kindergarten side through their classroom exit doors and the gate starting at the times provided by your teachers. Ms. Banks/Mrs. Paolozza’s class will exit through DOOR #3, which is the school door directly beside the Kindergarten Fenced Yard.
ALL GRADES 1-3 CLASSES will be exiting to the back playground at the end of the day. A parent can pick up their child from the teacher starting at 3:05pm. If siblings are picking up younger students, please direct them to the back playground to find the teacher.
PORTABLE CLASSROOMS will be exiting directly from their portables to the sidewalks beside the park.
GRADE 6 CLASSROOMS (Mrs. Martin, Mr. Osadciw, Mr. Driscoll) will be exiting out through DOOR #10 (which is on the Park Side of the school at the back beside the entrance to the playground).
GRADE 7 CLASSROOMS (Ms. Quintal, Mrs. Esteves) will exit through DOOR #3 on the Kindergarten side.
GRADE 7/8 (Mr. Campanelli) AND Mr. Sneyd’s GRADE 8 CLASSROOM will be exiting through DOOR #10 (which is on the Park Side of the school at the back beside the entrance to the playground).
Mr. Walmsley’s GRADE 8 CLASSROOM will be exiting out through DOOR #11 which is on the Park side of the school near the front crosswalk.
Teachers will be reviewing this exit procedure this week with each group of students. This will give you an idea of where your child will be exiting our school at the end of every day, starting today.
If you are picking up your child(ren) from school, we recommend avoiding our parking lots and meeting students on the sidewalks. Please remember our Public Health guidelines and limit the amount of people coming to the school for pick up (and drop off) and spread out while you wait for your child(ren) as best you can.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and support as we work together to protect everyone to ensure a safe and healthy return to school!
Mr. B. Melanson
