In partnership with Halton Food for Thought (HFFT), our school provides our students with nutritious food and encourages healthy eating habits in our community via the Student Nutrition Program. The program is led by volunteers and is offered free of charge to all students.
At St. Andrew, we offer a breakfast program that includes a minimum of three food groups, one always being a fresh fruit and/or vegetable as well as milk or a milk alternative. Our weekly breakfast program runs 3 days a week before school from 8:30-8:45 a.m. We are very fortunate to have many community volunteers that serve our students nutritional breakfast options. All students are welcome to participate and our program is well attended.
This year, HFFT has recognized two of our St. Andrew parent volunteers as “Volunteers of the Year” in Halton Region for their amazing work organizing and preparing delicious food for our students. Congratulations to Mrs. Carone and Mrs. Robertson for their hard work and dedication and leading our nutrition programs.
We always welcome your donations to keep the Student Nutrition Program running at our school. Donations can be made through School Cash Online: https://hcdsb.schoolcashonline.com.
