Weekly Update March 15, 2021

During Lent, let us find concrete ways to overcome our indifference.” ~Pope Francis

Fourth Week of Lent

The fourth Sunday of Lent is sometimes called Laetare Sunday. Laetare is a Latin word that means “rejoice.” Even as we observe our Lenten sacrifices, we rejoice in anticipation of the joy that will be ours at Easter.

The message in the second reading and gospel this week asks us to take note of the compassion and tender love that God has for each of us.  We hear explicitly in the gospel that “God loves the world so much that he gave us his only Son, so that everyone who believes I him may not be lost, but may have eternal life.”  As we proceed on our Lenten journey, we must recognize that we have to stand at the foot of the cross before we can experience the resurrection.

Reflection: Consider how your family might fulfill the call of this season through prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

grandparents.
• It is the driver’s responsibility to use the appropriate car seat based on a child’s height, weight, and
development.
• Always follow the child car seat manufacturer’s instructions and vehicle owner’s manual for the correct
installation and use of a child’s car seat.
