If in our daily life we can smile, if we can be peaceful and happy, not only we, but everyone will profit from it. This is the most basic kind of peace work. ~Thich Nhat Hanh

Grade Eight Camp Muskoka Trip
We wish our Grade Eight students a wonderful time at Camp Muskoka. They will be leaving from St. Andrew School at 9:00 am on Tuesday morning along with their teachers and supervisors to spend four action-packed days at Camp Muskoka near Bracebridge, Ontario where they will be involved in Team Building and developing Leadership Skills through outdoor experiential learning.
If your Grade 8 child is not attending the Camp Muskoka trip, there will be learning activities taking place at school. If your child will not be at school, please call in his or her absence.
Student Safety When Signing Out Over the Lunch Hour
To help keep our students safe, please remember that we require written permission for students to leave school property unaccompanied by a parent or guardian during the lunch hour. As well, we continue to ask all students to sign out and back in again at the school office if they will be leaving school property over the lunch hour. This request includes students who go home daily at lunchtime. We would ask for your help in reminding them of this procedure, reviewing your expectations for where they should be and how they should conduct themselves when they are off school property over the lunch hour, and in reminding them to be on time when they return to school in the afternoon. Please remember that students are not supervised by school staff when they are off school property, and this includes at the park across the street.
