When asked the source of her joy, Mother Teresa replied: “Joy is prayer — joy is strength — joy is love — joy is a net of love. . . A joyful heart is the normal result of a heart burning with love . . . loving as He loves, helping as He helps, giving as He gives, serving as He serves, rescuing as He rescues, being with Him twenty-four hours, touching Him in His distressing disguise.”
This Sunday, Mary Mother of God Parish will be having their Youth-Led Family Mass at 11:00 a.m. You will enjoy contemporary music by the incredible band Ablaze and there will be a Children’s Liturgy of the Word with crafts and activities for the younger kids (JK – Grade 2). Come and be a part of the welcoming, joyful feeling for which the Youth Mass is known!

“The Lord is near at hand”. The Third Sunday of Advent is known as “Guadete Sunday”, the word “Gaudete” meaning “rejoice”. We will be celebrating “Joy Day” on Tuesday. Classes will be participating in crafts and other joyful Christmas activities in anticipation of the coming of our Saviour. Students are invited to get into the spirit of Christmas by wearing red and green. In the afternoon, we will have a Christmas Concert beginning at 1:00 pm sharp in the Gymnasium.
Tryouts for both the boys’ and girls’ senior basketball teams (Gr 6-8) have been announced and will continue into the new year.
