Policy Feedback

As you may know, the Halton Catholic District School Board is actively seeking stakeholder consultation on the proposed changes to Policy V-04 School Fundraising Activities and Procedure VI-59 School Fundraising Activities. People have until June 1, 2018 at midnight to provide feedback on the policy, and we strongly encourage you to share your personal thinking with the board if you have not already done so. More information about the policy and about Resolution #61/18 – Sanctity of Life – Donations to Charities and Non-Profits can be found on the board’s website here and the direct link to the feedback form can be found here.

Student Safety When Signing Out Over the Lunch Hour

To help keep our students safe, please remember that we require written permission for students to leave school property unaccompanied by a parent or guardian during the lunch hour.  As well, we continue to ask all students to sign out and back in again at the school office if they will be leaving school property over the lunch hour. This request includes students who go home daily at lunchtime. We would ask for your help in reminding them of this procedure, reviewing your expectations for where they should be and how they should conduct themselves when they are off school property over the lunch hour, and in reminding them to be on time when they return to school in the afternoon. Please remember that students are not supervised by school staff when they are off school property, and this includes at the park across the street.
