Weekly Update April 30, 2018

…we can see that the Earth is truly alive. We are a living, breathing manifestation of this beautiful and generous planet. Knowing this we can transform our relationship to the Earth…We will fall completely in love with the Earth…That is the relationship each of us must have with the Earth if the Earth is to survive, and if we are to survive as well. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh, “Love Letter to the Earth.”

Catholic Education Week

There is only one more week until we celebrate Catholic Education Week! Each year, the Catholic community of Ontario engages in a week-long celebration of the unique identity and distinctive contributions of Catholic education during Catholic Education Week. This year’s celebration is entitled, “Catholic Education: Renewing the Promise” and will be held during the week of May 6 – May 11, 2018. The overall scriptural theme is “For the promise is for you, for your children, and for all who are far away, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to him.” Acts 2:39

At St. Andrew School, we will be celebrating the week by inviting families into the school to participate in a variety of events and activities. We hope to see many of you during our school celebrations. A blue flyer went home with your children last week letting you know about our many events and celebrations. You can also download it using this link: Education Week Flyer – 2018.

We will be walking to Mary Mother of God Parish on Monday, May 7th for a Mass to celebrate Catholic Education week at 10:00 am. Please consider joining us!
