At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child’s success is the positive involvement of parents. ~ Jane Hull
A great big thank you to our very hard-working Eco-Team. They worked diligently together mulching our gardens on Friday to ensure that they will be protected during the winter weather.
Congratulations to the many runners in grades 4 – 6 who participated in our Board’s Cross Country competition that took place at the beautiful Kelso Conservation Area on Friday and Saturday. The weather was glorious and the runners were outstanding. We are grateful to all of our coaches for your time and dedication to supporting our runners.
We continue to wish good luck to both our Girls’ and Boys’ Volleyball teams as they continue to compete in their busy regular season and tournaments!
We are still collecting donations for our Halloween Dance-a-thon. This is our one major fundraiser and we will use the funds to supplement student programming and activities. This year, we hope to purchase new uniforms for our sports teams, new digital technologies to support student learning, and materials for a new Makerspace. There will be prizes for the classes who raise the most money and students are earning tickets to a draw with the money they raise. Every dollar counts! Our early bird draw will take place on Monday! Please have your funds in by Monday morning for your child to participate in our Early Bird Draw! Donating is quick and easy with our SchoolCashOnline option!
Grade 7 Immunizations

Photo Re-Take Day
If your child missed picture day, or if you were not happy with your child’s photo, photographers from Edge Imaging will be at our school on Tuesday, October 24th.
The Great Big Crunch
On Thursday, October 26th, remember to wear red, yellow or green as we celebrate The Great Big Crunch! Together with Elementary schools from coast to coast we will be celebrating nutritious food. We are expecting some very special guests to join us… stay tuned!
Pizza day will be this Friday, October 27th. Remember, pizza days occur roughly every other week. Last Friday, we had a number of students who did not bring a lunch to school because they thought it was pizza day. All of our pizza days are listed in our online calendar on this website.
Morning Drop Off
Many of our buses come up to a half hour late in the mornings since they are coming from all over Oakville. If you are dropping your child off after the morning bell rings, please make sure to park in the parking lot and walk your child to the front door. For the safety of our bus students, it is imperative that we not have any cars idling or parked in the bus lanes in front of the school. We thank you all for your cooperation.
