Walk to School Month

October is Walk to School Month. The members of our Eco Team have been making daily announcements for us reminding us of all of the benefits to walking to school. The class who has the most walkers throughout the month of October will get to have a silly photo of their classroom teacher taken. Bus students can participate too by walking 15 minutes per day before or after school. Get in on the action, help our environment and stay healthy!

“Do You Love Me?”

Our school board has introduced our new Theological theme: “Do You Love Me?” Jesus asks this question of his disciple, Peter. When Peter responds that, yes, he loves the Lord, Jesus commands him to “Feed my sheep”. For the next four years, as a community of faith, we will be exploring the theme of Love in Scripture. Love is a calling, and as followers of Christ, we will be reflecting together on what it is we are being called to do in the name of Love. For more information on our beautiful new theme read this Feature Story.

Roots of Empathy

We are very excited for our Grade 5 students in Mrs. Vukovic’s class who will be participating in the Roots of Empathy Program with baby Eva and her mom, Mrs. Wilkinson. Throughout the school year, baby Eva will be visiting the students and they will learn about empathy as they watch her grow and develop.
