Student Illness Reminder
With cold and flu season in full force we remind parents that children who are unwell should NOT be at school. Students should stay at home until they are fully able to participate in the school day. This means going outside for all recesses as well. If your child is too ill to be going outside for recess, then they are most likely too ill to be at school. We thank you in advance for helping us keep everyone healthy!
Director of Education, Pat Daly, send HDCSB families an email this week with details about the new coronavirus that is active this year (2019 Novel Coronavirus or 2019-nCoV). Click here to review a letter from the Chief Medical Officer for the Halton Region Health Department with important information around the symptoms and prevention of respiratory viruses such as 2019-nCoV that accompanied Director Daly’s message.
As indicated below, SHOJ is a scent-sensitive environment. Please do not send hand sanitizer to school with your child. Hand washing is effective.
Sacred Heart of Jesus School is a scent-sensitive environment. We have students/staff who suffer significant adverse health effects from exposure to scented products. All staff, students and parent visitors are asked to please avoid wearing any scented products (i.e. perfumes, colognes, lotions and/or essential oils) when coming to the school and avoid bringing any scented products into the school.
