Dear Parents and Guardians,
The time is always right to do what is right.
-Martin Luther King Jr.
Welcome to the first full week of February. All month long our staff and students take the opportunity to celebrate the achievements and contributions Black Canadians, both past and present, have made in making Canada the great country it is today. Announcements and lessons highlight these accomplishments and help our students become more aware that diversity makes us stronger. Click here for dates and times of community events celebrating Black History Month and take the opportunity to continue these important discussions at home!

Student Illness Reminder
With cold and flu season in full force we remind parents that children who are unwell should NOT be at school. Students should stay at home until they are fully able to participate in the school day. This means going outside for all recesses as well. If your child is too ill to be going outside for recess, then they are most likely too ill to be at school. We thank you in advance for helping us keep everyone healthy!
Director of Education, Pat Daly, send HDCSB families an email this week with details about the new coronavirus that is active this year (2019 Novel Coronavirus or 2019-nCoV).
