Upcoming Events
On October 16 2015th, The Halton Catholic District School Board Trustees passed the following motion:
There will be an annual and board wide recognition of the United Nations International Holocaust Awareness Day (January 27th, on the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp) in all schools, which will include age-appropriate teaching about the Shoah, or Holocaust, with the expectation that every graduate of the HCDSB (grades 8 and 12) have an understanding of what St. Pope John Paul II called, “the inhumanity with which the Jews were persecuted and massacred,” during the Holocaust in Europe.”
Divisional liturgies will take place on Wednesday in memoriam of this event.

On Thursday, January 28th, across Canada, people will be tweeting and texting messages of hope and wellness in support of Mental Health. #BellLetsTalk is a campaign that supports the education and awareness around mental health and mental illness. For every tweet with the hashtag #BellLetsTalk, Bell will make a donation to this campaign. With the support of our Child and Youth Counsellor, Mrs. Montague, SHOJ teachers will discuss mental health and ways you can help yourself or others feel their best! Please take a moment and tweet/retweet your support with the hashtag #BellLetsTalk and be sure to include our SHOJ Twitter account (@SHOJ_HCDSB) as well!
