Highlights for Holy Week…
Social Justice – Easter Life Essentials Drive
The Kindergarten and Grade 8 students are leading the Easter social justice initiative called the Life Essentials Drive to collect toiletries, diapers, paper products, cleaning supplies, and other personal and household items for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. A letter went home to parents last week with a chart outlining which classrooms were collecting what items on the list. The Life Essentials Drive will continue up to Wednesday, April 17. Your support and generosity are appreciated.
Primary Poetry and Speech Celebration
The Primary students will be presenting a selection of poems and speeches on Tuesday, April 16 starting at 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Parents are welcome to attend!
The students will engage in a solemn observation of Holy Thursday through an interactive Stations of the Cross liturgy. Parents and family are welcome to make the Stations of the Cross with the students. Please check with the classroom teacher for the scheduled time for each classroom.
Good Friday at Holy Rosary Parish
OLV students, parents, and their families are invited to observe Good Friday during liturgies at 11:00 a.m. and at 3:00 p.m. and to the Passion Play at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church. There is no school for students on Good Friday, April 19 and on Easter Monday, April 22.
Have a blessed and restful Easter weekend with your families and friends. God Bless!
