Silence is Not an Option

  • Please read the message from our Director, Pat Daly, about our collective commitment to creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive communities for all of our students, and acting to end racism in our schools and institutions: https://elem.hcdsb.org/ourladyofpeace/2020/06/silence-is-not-an-option/
  • Many of our staff members have been engaging in learning more about bias and racism this week through participating in virtual professional learning and by sharing resources that we can use to have conversations with our children and with one another. We will also be sharing additional webinars and sessions available to parents through the school’s Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/OLPhcdsb

OLP Yearbook and Virtual Talent Show

  • Thank you to everyone who submitted photos, yearbook covers, and talent show acts this week. Your participation helps us keep our community connected, and we are looking forward to seeing and sharing all of the submissions!

Mental Health Tips and Resources for HCDSB Families

  • Ongoing news coverage and our extended period of isolation may be upsetting for many children, youth and families in our community. Our HCDSB Mental Health Leadership Team has compiled a list of tips and resources to help you and your child feel safe during this time of uncertainty.
  • These resources can be accessed through the board website under the Learn at Home tab here: https://learnathome.hcdsb.org/mental-health-wellness/
