We are in the process of refunding costs of any upcoming trips or lunch programs, beginning with milk, that were paid through School Cash Online. If you paid through cash or cheque, we will issue a reimbursement once our school re-opens.
Please note that Lunchbox Orders will be working directly with parents through their cancellation process. If you have questions, they can be reached at 1.877.426.6860
Please know that you are welcome to contact me directly at email@example.com if you need support while these refunds are being processed.
Grade 9 Option Sheets and Courses
Our parents and guardians of Grade 8 students who will be attending Holy Trinity next year should have received an email from the school about course selections. Students should double-check their course selections in myBlueprint. If the courses are correct, students do not need to do anything. If changes need to be made, parents and guardians need to contact Ms. Latimer, the Department Head of Guidance at Holy Trinity at firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information before Friday, April 24:
Your name – relation to child
Course they want to drop
Course they want to add
As well, students are asked to complete the SHIELD Mentor Preference Form so they can be matched up with a SHIELD Mentor for the 2020-2021 school year.
If you have questions about either of these items, please contact your child’s teacher.
We are working with the school board to explore options for our New to Kindergarten Orientation evening that was originally scheduled for this week. In the meantime, parents and guardians may be interested in looking at last year’s presentation.
Prayer Intentions for our Grade 2s
Please keep our Grade 2 students, their families, and their teachers in your prayers this weekend as they were looking forward to celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Saturday.
We will continue to update families on both the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion when we hear from St. Michael’s. Like us, they are following the advice of public health officials to keep us all safe and healthy.
Update on Teacher-Led Distance Learning
Thank you for your support during this second week of teacher-led distance learning. Our educators have been delighted to hear from your children and to see their learning in action, and we hope that your children are beginning to settle into this new educational routine. If your child has not logged into the learning site or hasn’t submitted work for a few days, your child’s teacher may reach out to you to ensure that your child is well, to let you know that we are here for you, and to see if there are any additional supports that we can offer to make his or her learning successful. While we want the learning to continue while we are apart, your child’s well-being during this time is our shared priority.
The board will continue to add information, tips, and supports for parents on our school website. You can access them from the red Learn at Home tab on the top left corner of the site.
Thank you for remembering that the online learning environments are intended for communication between students and educators. If you have questions, you can contact your child’s teachers through the apps they were using throughout the course of the year or through their board email accounts which have been posted on the Contact>>Staff Directory page on our school website.
On Thursday, September 24, you should have received an email sent on behalf of our Director, Pat Daly, explaining the process for requesting a change to your child’s learning environment – either from face-to-face learning
