Weekly Update: April 19-23
Then they told what had happened on the road, and how he was known to them in the breaking of the bread. As they were saying this, Jesus himself stood among them. But they were startled and frightened and supposed that they saw a spirit. And he said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do questionings rise in your hearts? See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself; handle me, and see; for a spirit has not flesh and bones as you see that I have.”
As we celebrate this third Sunday of Easter, we hope you were able to spend some time together outside on this beautiful weekend. We look forward to a fabulous week of online learning at OLF.
All Ontario elementary and secondary schools will be moving to remote learning following the Spring Break. Read the News Release here.
According to the Ministry memo we received, the decision to move to remote learning has been made to reduce mobility, and support as many households as possible in staying home to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Please note that in HCDSB, Monday, April 19th will be a transition day to allow for the distribution of technology to families and prepare for the move to remote learning. There will be no instruction (synchronous or asynchronous) for students currently enrolled in in-person learning at an HCDSB elementary school.
Considering this direction –
- Elementary and secondary schools will move to remote learning beginning Tuesday, April 20th and until further direction is received.
- Students enrolled in the Virtual Elementary School will continue to follow their established schedules.
