It was another great week at OLF, and we look forward to a great week this week as we prepare for many events at the school in the next few weeks.

Poinsettia Sales

Once again we are offering the opportunity for purchase of Poinsettias, this has always been a very positive fundraiser for parents and staff so don’t miss out on your chance to order Poinsettias.

Sprit Wear Sales

Just in time for Christmas!  This is your chance to purchase some OLF Spirit Wear to show off your school pride!  We are offering various styles of T-Shirts, Hoodies and Hats with our School Logo and Colours.

Parent/Teacher Conferences – SAVE THE DATE

Teachers will be holding conferences in the evening on Thursday, November 26th and during the day of Friday, November 27th.  You will receive a link Monday morning at 9 am in which you can choose the time for your child(ren)’s teacher.  This year you will have the option of a Microsoft Teams virtual interview or a phone call.

Remembrance Day Liturgy – Live Event and Poppy Sales

Our Grade 6s will be leading our virtual Remembrance Day assembly on Wednesday beginning at 10:30 am.  We will begin selling poppies beginning tomorrow morning.  Please bring a small donation for poppies to support our local veterans.

Wear Blue – National Diabetes awareness month

In recognition of Diabetes Awareness Month, we are asking all staff and student to wear blue on Friday, November 13th.

Fall Donation Fundraiser

We thank all those families who were able to donate to our Fall Fundraiser for your support to allow OLF to provide the best possible school experiences for your children.  In the next few days we will be handing out OLF Swag to those students who raised money for the school.  Thank you again for your support.

Student Morning Arrival

Any students who arrives after the 8:20 bell, should enter the school through the front doors.  Students can buzz and our office staff will allow them to enter.  Parents, as per our “Return to School” policy, will not be permitted in the building.  We appreciate your assistance with keeping our school safe.

COVID

Parents please remember that if you are coming onto school property to pick up your child at the end of the school day, you continue to maintain your physical distancing from one another and if this is not possible we encourage you to wear a mask.  We thank you for your support on this matter.

Daily Screening

Thank you to all parents/guardians for performing daily screening of their child(ren) for COVID-19 symptoms before leaving for school.  We appreciate you helping our school in preventing the spread of COVID-19.  Please note: This screening tool has been updated once again as of October 1st, as the Ministry of Health determine various changes in symptoms of COVID-19

Student Belongings

As we continue to try to keep limited number of students in the hallways, it is important that students bring what they need with them in the morning.  This includes, books, agendas, water bottles, and clothing.  Again, we appreciate your support in trying to keep our school safe.
