Weekly Update: October 26- 30
“I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.” St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta
We hope that everyone had a wonderful week. It was another great week at OLF, and we look forward to a great week this week. We wish everyone a wonderful Halloween next weekend.

We thank you for your ongoing support to allow OLF to provide the best possible school experience for your children. This is a year like no other, and in these challenging times, your support – and the bonds of our community – mean more than ever. We are very thankful for this, and for the privilege of being back at school teaching your children again this year.
Weather is Changing
The weather is getting cooler and we have noticed more students being dropped off in the morning. To keep our parking lots safe, we would like to remind any parents using the KissNRide lanes to pull up as far forward as they can to drop off their child. Staff members are lined up along the sidewalk to help your child get to their destination. Dropping off your child at the gate causes congestion in the parking lot. We thank you for your support in this.
On another note, as the weather is getting cooler, please remember warmer jackets, hats and mittens if necessary.
Thank you to all parents/guardians for performing daily screening of their child(ren) for COVID-19 symptoms before leaving for school. We appreciate you helping our school in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Please note: This screening tool has been updated once again as of October 1st, as the Ministry of Health determine various changes in symptoms of COVID-19
Thank you to all the parents who logged in for our virtual Curriculum Night last Thursday. Although there were a couple of hiccups, it was wonderful to have the opportunity for teachers to go over what your children are working on in the classroom. Anyone who was not able to be there for Curriculum night, please touch base with your child(ren)’s teacher for important information.
Halloween Dance-A-Thon 2020
Information was emailed last Thursday to all families regarding our Annual Halloween Dance-A-Thon. Although our Dance-A-Thon will look a little bit differently this year, we look forward to adding a little bit of fun for the students. We will have a dance in the gym (following COVID guidelines) and hope that our families will be able to donate to this annual major fundraiser. Looking forward to seeing our students in their costumes.
