Weekly Update – October 19-23

Weekly Update: October 19-23

We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28.

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.  It was another great week at OLF, and we look forward to a great week this week

Weather is Changing

The weather is getting cooler and we have noticed more students being dropped off in the morning.  To keep our parking lots safe, we would like to remind any parents using the KissNRide lanes to pull up as far forward as they can to drop off their child.  Staff members are lined up along the sidewalk to help your child get to their destination.  Dropping off your child at the gate causes congestion in the parking lot.  We thank you for your support in this.

Daily Screening

Thank you to all parents/guardians for performing daily screening of their child(ren) for COVID-19 symptoms before leaving for school.  We appreciate you helping our school in preventing the spread of COVID-19.  Please note: This screening tool has been updated once again as of October 1st, as the Ministry of Health determine various changes in symptoms of COVID-19

This will be a TEAMS event in which your child’s teacher will send you an invite to the meeting.  The Forms survey was sent out, if you haven’t already done so, please complete the form no later than Monday, October 19th at 11:45 pm.  Thank you.

Halloween Dance-A-Thon 2020

Information was emailed last Thursday to all families regarding our Annual Halloween Dance-A-Thon.  Although our Dance-A-Thon will look a little bit differently this year, we look forward to adding a little bit of fun for the students.  We will have a dance in the gym (following COVID guidelines) and hope that our families will be able to donate to this annual major fundraiser.  Looking forward to seeing our students in their costumes.
