Weekly Update: February 3-7
Hard to believe that we are through January and we now begin February. We look forward to another great week at OLF.
Help the Homeless Initiative
Two of our students Erin and Emily have begun an initiative for the homeless. They presented their initiative to the school last week.
They are collecting milk bags for an organization called “Milk Bags Unlimited”. This organization helps the homeless. The girls are asking for all OLF families to donate their milk bags by placing them in the box in the front foyer of the school and then Erin and Emily will weave them into sleeping mats and pillows to donate to the homeless.
The girls stress that the milk bags must be:
• clean (no milk residue inside the bags),
• not ripped (as they will not hold up when they weave),
• and be brought in flat (to ensure they can be weaved together)
They thank you in advance for your donations to this worthy cause. Great job Erin and Emily!

OECTA – 1 Day Strike
As you already know, Tuesday, February 4th will be the second one-day, province-wide full withdrawal of services. Therefore, our school will be closed to students on this day.
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
With anticipation of the OECTA Strike on Tuesday, February 4, Lunchbox Orders will be managing the scheduled lunch deliveries on a day by day basis.
If classes are cancelled on Tuesday, Lunchbox Orders will cancel the order and a credit will be placed on your Lunchbox Orders account. The credit will be applied to your next transaction at the time of check out.
If you have any questions, please contact the Lunchbox Orders Team at 1.877.426.6860 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
