Weekly Update: June 3-7

Hello OLF Families,

We have now entered into the final month of school. We have a lot going on this month. Please see below some of the updates for this week.

ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) BONANZA

On Monday, June 3rd, Our Lady of Fatima will be welcoming our Board’s Behaviour Analysts, Special Education Itinerant Team, Speech Language Pathologists, CDAs and CYCs as they will be setting up an ABA Bonanza to highlight and celebrate all of the amazing work being done across the system by educators using ABA methodology for any and all students who benefit from it! The ABA Bonanza will be held all day on June 3rd in our library. Parents are welcome to join if you are available.

We are currently forming classes for next year. If you are moving out of our boundary, it is important that you inform the office immediately and register at the school that your child(ren) will be attending.

If you have not yet returned your Criminal Offence Declaration and you wish to continue volunteering, please ensure that you return the form this week to the office.

If you are sending sunscreen to school with your child, please send the lotion rather than the spray. The spray is dangerous as it can be accidently sprayed in someone’s eyes and it causes the floor to become slippery because of the oily residue from the aerosol. Thank you for your understanding.

If your child has medication at the school, it will be returned to students on the last day of school. However, if your child will be absent on the last day, please ensure that you pick up their medication from the office before the end of the year.

Yearbook Orders are due on June 7th. Payment is only available on SchoolCash Online. Please do not send cash or cheque to school. We thank you for your understanding in this.

If you have not yet started using the School Messenger Attendance App, please take the time to download it now or over the summer.

Next year we will be moving towards using SchoolCash Online ONLY, as it is a much safer alternative than sending cash with your children and more convenient than waiting for a cheque to be cashed. Please go to our website for instructions on how to set up an account for your child(ren).
