Weekly Parent Update – January 21-25

OLF Families,

Welcome back to another week. It looks to be another busy week at OLF.

Just a reminder that our school day begins at 8:20am. We are seeing a number of students arriving late on a regular basis. Please drop off your child(ren) by 8:15am so that they are ready to line up with their classmates to enter the school.  When late, your child(ren) is/are missing on valuable morning routines.

The safety of our students is top priority. Please remember to use the kiss and ride appropriately in the morning and watch for cars driving through.  At the end of the day, please park and meet your child on the sidewalk to prevent children from crossing the parking lot on their own.

Please ensure that your child has snow pants, hats, mittens and boots for the outdoors.  If you have not yet sent in a pair of indoor shoes, please do so.

We are moving towards a completely Cashless School.

• No worries about students losing or forgetting cheques or cash
• No waiting for cheques to be cashed
• Easier for parents and teachers to track payments

If you have not already done so, please take a few minutes to register!
Here’s how:
Step 1: Please visit:
Step 2: Register by selecting the “Get Started Today” and following the steps.
Step 3: After you receive the confirmation email, please select the “Click Here” option, sign in and add each of your children to your household account.

In November, we introduced a new, more convenient method for parents to report their child(ren)’s absences. If you haven’t already started using School Messenger

PLEASE NOTE: If your child is leaving early for an appointment or any other reason – We appreciate you entering the information on SchoolMessenger. However, Please INFORM YOUR CHILD’S CLASSROOM TEACHER BY WRITING A NOTE IN THEIR AGENDA so they have time to get your child ready. Your cooperation is sincerely appreciated.

Our Weekly Calendar

We look forward to another great week.
