Weekly Update November 5-9

SafeArrival Student Absence Reporting is Coming to Our School – Starting TOMORROW!

The safety and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority, and we are happy to announce that starting Monday, November 5, 2018, our school will be moving to a new automated student attendance management system called SafeArrival.

The SafeArrival system will be available 24/7, allowing you to report your child’s absence in one of three ways:

  1. using the SchoolMessenger® mobile app
  2. by logging into the SchoolMessenger®  web site
  3. by calling into an interactive toll-free phone line

SafeArrival will enhance our existing student attendance procedure, making it more convenient for parents to report a child’s absence, and more efficient for our school office staff to follow up sooner on unexplained absences.

Extended French

The Extended French program is returning to Our Lady of Fatima in September 2019! Online registration begins on Monday November 5 – Monday November 19. Parents of students in Grade 4 have been emailed the registration instructions. The Grade 5 Extended French Program is offered regionally, and sites change from time to time to address student enrollment and other considerations. Please note that the site changes will be gradually phased in; students currently registered in the Extended French program will complete the program at their current location. The following contains a list of the schools that will accept registrations for the Grade 5 Extended French Program for the 2019-2020 school year: bit.ly/2019ExtendedFrenchSites
