Our School EQAO Results Now Available
Earlier this week the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) released the 2017-2018 Provincial Assessment Reports for each school and school board in Ontario.
The Primary (Grade 3) and Junior (Grade 6) EQAO assessments in reading, writing and mathematics took place last school year during May and June.
Our school results are now available online. To learn more about EQAO assessments and view our overall school results, visit: https://elem.hcdsb.org/ourladyoffatima/eqao/.
NOTE: Individual results for students who completed the Grade 3 and Grade 6 EQAO assessments last school year will be sent home to parents in the coming weeks.
Terry Fox Walk
Thank you to the staff and students who participated in our Terry Fox walk this week that was organized by the Grade 7 students. All students had a chance to participate and learn many facts about the life of Terry and his worthwhile cause. This year we raised $510.00 for Cancer research.
Picture Day is this week. On Tuesday September 25th our Kindergarten and Grade 5-8 student will take their class and individual pictures and on Wednesday September 26th the Grade 1-4 students will take their pictures. Looking forward to seeing all those smiles!
Orange Shirt Day – Friday September 28th
Students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt (they are to wear uniform bottoms) on Friday, September 28th as September 30th has been declared Orange Shirt Day annually in recognition of our indigenous community. It is an affirmation of our commitment to ensure that everyone around us matters. Our Catholic Social Teachings call us in Solidarity with our indigenous sisters and brothers to honour the human dignity in all.
The 2017-2018 Yearbooks have arrived! If you placed a pre-order at the end of last year, the yearbook will be coming home with your child this week.
