Dear HRM Families,

Thank you Ms. Owens and her team for facilitating the outdoor recess equipment. Students seem to really enjoy the equipment outside.  

Thank you Mr. T and students in Ms. Moniz and Ms. Adams-Mise classes for the daily set up of pylons for our outdoor cohorts.

Thank you Ms. Cutrara for setting up all classrooms with technology.

Thank you Ms. Babin and Ms. Baggetta for all their work navigating the new system and the various components.

Family consent Forms: Please complete the online form for each child as soon as possible: New Submission ( This is to replace the paper copies that used to be completed during the first week of school.
Agendas are on sale for $8, as our CashOnline system, if you are still having issues with CashOnline, please contact the school.
Curriculum Night: We hope to see you at our virtual Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 23, at 6:30 pm. We will have two sessions that night after the principal’s address. TEAMs invites will be sent on Monday or Tuesday by the classroom teachers. The main meet as a school is at 6:30 and an invite will be sent out on Monday.
HRM 2021-2022 Catholic School Council: Every year, families have the opportunity to join the HRM Catholic School Council. It is a great opportunity for parents and guardians to join and work with the school to facilitate events and various school activities. Please use the following link to complete the associated form to show your interest in joining our HRM Catholic School Council for the 2021-2022 School year. Our first meeting will be on Monday October 4 at 6:30pm. All meetings this year will be held virtually. Link for the October Meeting will only be emailed to parents and guardians who have completed this form by Tuesday September 21, 2021. No late nomination forms will be accepted. We look forward to another amazing year and to collaborate once again to ensure that we provide the best learning and social experiences for our students and families.
Milton Culture Days: Arts Milton is hosting Milton Culture Days 2021 – September 24-October 24. Part of the national Culture Days program, Milton Culture Days is free, accessible, open to all ages, and available online or outdoors this year. There are over 80 activities to enjoy – including art, craft, music, dance, theatre, technology and more! 
Friendly Reminder: Please contact your child’s teacher for any changes to routines (such as pick up or drop off) you may directly email the teacher or send a note with your child. Teachers will respond to emails during their work/school days.

Family Paint Night in Recognition of Orange Shirt Day (Wednesday September 22, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm): HCDSB families, students and staff are invited to participate in a virtual family paint night in recognition of Orange Shirt Day. The online session will be hosted by Indigenous Artist, Moses Lunham, who will provide step-by-step instructions on how to create the painting at home. No prior artistic experience is necessary to get involved. However, those interested in participating can prepare for the art session by collecting the following art supplies. A link to the live event will be available on the scheduled time and day of the presentation on the Grandmother’s Voice YouTube Channel. For more information, visit the HCDSB website.
