“There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot solve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary.” Sister Lucia of Fatima

Dear HRM Families,

Thank you to everyone who participated in celebrating the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day).

Thank you staff for facilitating all the learning associated with Rowan Law and the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.

Thank you for continuing to follow all the Covid protocols including the completion of the self-assessment tool in the morning.

Daily Self-Assessment of COVID-19 Symptoms: Please ensure that you conduct the daily self-assessment BEFORE students arrive at school. Staff is to monitor self and students for signs/symptoms of COVID-19.  All Staff and students who are experiencing new or worsening symptoms consistent with COVID- 19 must go home/stay at home and seek appropriate medical attention as required, including getting tested for COVID-19. Take the self-assessment and follow the recommendations shared previously. Students with any symptoms must remain home. Students must be symptom-free for 24 hours to be able to return to school.

Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations Assemblies: Starting in October, we will be facilitating the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations Assemblies. These assemblies will replace the Virtue of the Month Assemblies. Students will become more familiar with the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations as we will focus on an expectation each month. Students will have an opportunity to receive a medal and then they will be displayed on our bulletin board. Students will continue to receive WWJD sheets and submit them to the boxes for a chance to receive a prize.  We are very excited for this new learning and celebration of our students as we continue to do what Jesus will do.

Holy Rosary

Thanksgiving & Holy Rosary Feast Day: On October 7, we will celebrate the Holy Rosary feast day in addition to celebrating Thanksgiving as a school community. We will email the liturgy to parents as we are not able to post the liturgy on our website for privacy reasons.

PA Day: Friday, October 8, 2021, is a PA Day- No School for students.

Thanksgiving Monday: Monday, October 11, 2021, No school for students.
