Milton Library Update: Milton Public Library is inviting all schools in Halton Region to participate in this important initiative. Milton Public Library is implementing the Read Woke Challenge to empower our communities to be stronger, more active, and more consistent allies in the racial equity and social justice movements. One way that students learn about the world is through the social messages found in stories. Stories help youth to understand how society perceives their culture as well as the cultures of their friends, teachers and loved ones. They empower youth to stand up for others, develop healthy worldviews, and build an empathetic and compassionate community.
