Take the October 1st Update – COVID-19 Screening Tool for Children and follow the recommendations shared with the new changes highlighted.

HRM Indigo Family & Friends Night: Please join us on Wednesday November 11 at 8-9pm for our first even HRM Family & Friends Indigo Night- Please view the link for more information:

Halloween Update: We continue to accept donations until Friday November 6th. Prizes will be distributed to the winners on Monday November 9th.

Lunch time Expectations: This is a friendly reminder that although students are allowed to go out for lunch students and parents/guardians are not allowed to bring in any foods or drinks back to the school. This has been highlighted in our Return to School Plan and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Expected Uniform Attire: ISW is the uniform provider for our school board.  Clothing from ISW is the expectation for students.  Jogging pants and legging are not uniform items. Although pants do not necessarily have to be purchased from ISW, they must be navy blue dress pants. Please contact your child’s teacher or the office if you have any questions or if you need further information.

Daily Attendance: Attendance continues to be a very important part of your child’s academic experience. We ask that you continue to report your child’s absence using the Safe Arrival App. If you know of an absence in advance, please feel free to report it in advance as well.

Promoting Well-Being: Halloween & COVID-19: Have Fun While Staying Safe.

Choosing costumes, decorating pumpkins, and getting special treats brings joy to many children at Halloween. Some Halloween traditions may look different this year to keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, there are still plenty of ways families can have fun while avoiding the scare of being exposed to or spreading the virus.

Most importantly, keep doing what you have been doing: avoiding large gatherings, keeping a distance of six feet from others, wearing cloth face coverings, and washing hands often. Some ideas for ways to keep safety steps in place while celebrating:

  • Virtual costume parties and parades
  •  Making masks part of the costume
  • Spooky movie night
  • Decorating pumpkins
  • Halloween themed treats
  • Outdoor community events
