This Week’s Announcements:
Thank you for your continued support as we wrap up the 6th week of Distance Learning.
Monday May 18th is Victoria Day ~ Please enjoy a wonderful long weekend with your family!
Grade7 and 8 Trips refunds: We have received the refund from Camp Muskoka on Friday, therefore, the wonderful Mrs. Babin and Mrs. Ayers will be issuing refunds this upcoming week to all the families who have paid their deposits through Cash Online. As shared before, for families who paid using a cheque, all refunds will be provided in the same form once school is open. As for the Grade 8 trip, we had to resubmit some waivers as the insurance company did not accept them, all waivers were submitted by Friday. We will definitely update you on the status of the refund once we hear from Brightspark. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Graduation Update: We have been working on developing ideas for this year’s Grade8 Graduation. Planning for this event has been very unique this year. We are working closely with our Grade8 staff, administrators within the Bishop Redding family of schools, in addition to a new Graduation committee on a Board level. I promise that our Grade8 grads will be recognized, acknowledged, and celebrated despite the challenging times that we are experiencing. Such event may look different this June, but the recognition will definitely be experienced. We will keep you posted as we continue on this journey.

Christian Meditation: Students participate in classroom Christian Meditation. Our students and staff find that it brings them a sense of calm and is a natural “reset” to engage in their learning. We have received requests from our parents asking if we can share this resource. Please find the following links to support Christian Mediation at home:

Promoting Well-Being: Acts of kindness can be big or small, spontaneous or planned, can help form positive relationships, cultivate shared happiness, build relationships, and give people a sense of connectedness.
As a family can you come up with a way to show kindness in your neighborhood, with your friends, in your own home, or with your extended family?
