Safe Arrival

On each day your child is absent or late from school, please:

  • Call the school office to report your child’s absence prior to 8:30 a.m.
  • Leave your child’s name, grade, teacher, reason for their absence, and how long the absence will be. The school answering machine is on 24/7.

If an absence is not called in, office staff will make every attempt to contact parents/guardians by all means of contact information you have provided the school. If no contact is made, Halton Regional Police will be contacted in accordance with the Safe Schools Act.

ARRIVING LATE

Be On Time! This is a habit that we expect of you.  Not only is it a life skill, arriving on time shows respect and consideration for others.  If students are late for class, they interrupt the teacher and their classmates.

If late, before going to class, students MUST report to the office to get a late slip.

Students are considered late if they are not in the appropriate schoolyard area when the bell rings.  Parents, please establish routines that will assist your child to arrive at school on time.  The school bell rings at 8:30 a.m. and 12:35 p.m.  Consequences will be considered for students who are late on a regular basis.
