Week at a Glance – January 13th

The aim of education is the knowledge, not of facts, but of values!  William Ralph Inge

The students made a smooth transition back to school after the Christmas Break. Everyone returned ready to learn and well-prepared to enjoy outdoor play with all of their winter gear. We hope all of that gear made its way home at the end of the week. Please continue to send your children to school with mittens, hats, face warmers, boots and snow pants, as needed, so that they can enjoy their recess play.

Through the Sacrament of Confirmation, we receive an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, deepening and strengthening the Grace we received at our Baptism. This is a special time of year for our Grade 7 students who will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday, January 17th, 2020 at Mary Mother of God Parish at 7:00 PM. We ask that students arrive dressed in their Sunday best, 30 minutes prior, to ensure they have enough time to prepare for the entry procession. We ask you to keep our Grade 7 students in your prayers so that they may receive this sacrament with openness and willingness to accept God’s personal gift.  Confirmation rehearsal is Wednesday, January 15th @ Mary Mother of God @ 9:30 – 11:30.
