Poinsettias – back by popular demand!

Thank you for your support of our poinsettia initiative thus far.  A gentle reminder that orders should be placed through the School Cash-on-line system by November 23rd.  Poinsettias will be available for curb-side pick up at the school by appointment on December 3rd and 4th.

Flip-give for Holy Cross!

More and more families are shopping on-line this year, especially given the current restrictions.  A reminder that Holy Cross has recently teamed up with “Flip-give”.  Flip-give is an app/ website that receives a commission when used and shares the profits with the school.  Many sports teams have used this service and several HCDSB schools are beginning to use this program, and it has proven to be quite successful.  The Holy Cross “team code” is MR66JK

Please consider downloading the app for Flip-give, inputting our code, and supporting the school, each time you make an on-line purchase.

Inclement Weather Reminders

As winter weather is fast approaching, parents are reminded to visit our Board website for important information and reminders regarding our Inclement Weather procedures and the Inclement Weather Transportation Zones map:

Looking for notifications on bus delays and cancellations? Halton Student Transportation Services (HSTS) provides important information for parents and students who ride the bus to and from school. Bus delays and cancellation information can be found directly on the Delays & Cancellations page.

Holy Cross Tips

The Province’s COVID-19 Response Framework has five levels. Halton Region is now in the Red level (Control). It is strongly recommended that residents in the red control zone limit trips outside of their home:

  • Stay home, except for essential purposes such as going to work or school, buying essentials such as groceries, and attending medical appointments.
  • Maintain a physical distance of two metres (six feet) from those outside their household. Those that live alone may join one designated household.
  • Avoid all social gatherings such as play dates, birthday parties, and dinner parties with friends or family.

Stopping the spread of COVID-19 is a community effort and we must work together!  As always, we thank you for continuing to perform daily screening of your child(ren) for COVID-19 symptoms BEFORE leaving for school using the COVID-19 Self-Assessment using the online tool:
