Prayer is the raising of the mind to God. We must always remember this. The actual words matter less.

Our Lenten Journey
This past week, we began our Lenten journey in community. Shrove Tuesday is more than just a day to eat pancakes; it is the day we all commit ourselves to a deeper and more meaningful journey and conversation with Christ. In community, we accompany each other in the discovery of our shared story with Christ and how each of us is loved. We are called to a deeper and lasting relationship with our Saviour and with each other.
Shrove Tuesday was an opportunity to celebrate community before beginning our Lenten journey. This beautiful celebration would not have been possible had it not been for the amazing parent volunteers that gave up their time to prepare and cook hundreds of pancakes! Your selflessness was appreciated by all!
Our Ash Wednesday liturgy was a beautiful way to begin our Lenten season. Thank you to our Grade 5 classes, Mr. Sutton, Mr. Main and Mme Peric for organizing our service, and to our Choir, led by Mrs. Cottrell & Mrs. Schmidt, for their Music ministry. We thank all parents and community members that joined us in this liturgy.
