Catholic School Council Election Procedures September 2021
At Guardian Angels Catholic Elementary School, we invite you to consider nominating yourself, or another parent candidate. Council meetings are typically once a month on the first Monday of the month from 6-8 pm. Please notify Mr. Chris Hawken, our school Principal, of your intent to serve by emailing email@example.com Please also indicate if you are serving as a Catholic or non-Catholic member. New this year, the majority of council members must be Catholic. That is 50% of members +1.
Mr. Hawken will confirm the receipt of the nomination. Should we receive more nominations than required, we will hold an election. If elections are required, then the names of candidates and a one-page information biography sheet, if available, will be posted on our school website. If we receive the appropriate number of nominations (or fewer), and candidates fulfill the requirements as outlined in the regulation, they will be acclaimed, and the school community will be informed of the membership. The date of the first meeting will be Monday, October 4th, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Location TBD.
