Mr. Hawken Returns as Principal

Mrs. Kim Kinney who was to be our new Principal for the 2020-21 school year has accepted the position of Superintendent at the Niagara Catholic District School Board. We, therefore, welcome the return of our former Principal Mr. Chris Hawken. We wish Mrs. Kinney all the best in her new role.

Return to School Parent Survey

Help us plan! Please complete this survey as soon as possible. Please make sure to review the Return to School Plan, prior to completing the parent survey. You will need your child’s OEN number (9-digit number found on top of report card) to complete the survey. The survey closes on August 26th @ 11:00pm.

Students with Medical Conditions/Allergies

It is the responsibility of parents to keep the school apprised of their child(ren)’s medical needs. We are currently in the process of sending paperwork that requires you to detail a Plan of Care while at school. This paperwork will be sent to parents via email. This year, we strongly encourage that if you have a child who suffers from seasonal allergies that you have a Plan of Care on file. Please email Mrs. Kelly Stephens at if your child is new to the school, has a new condition, or if your child’s condition(s) has changed.

Face Coverings

Students in Grades JK- 8 are mandated to wear face coverings. Students will be provided a reusable non-medical mask for use at school. To learn about face coverings and how to properly wear, fit, remove and clean your non-medical face mask visit

Daily screening of Children

Parents/guardians must perform daily screening of their child(ren) for COVID-19 symptoms BEFORE leaving for school using a self- assessment checklist.

Parents/Guardians are to:
• Check their child’s temperature (fever > 37.8˚C)
• Monitor for signs and symptoms (including atypical symptoms) of COVID-19
• If any signs or symptoms, student and other household members must stay home and school must be contacted.

Essential Visitors only

Only essential visitors are permitted on school property (e.g., plumber). All visitors will have scheduled the visit with the school office prior to entry.

Essential visitors must complete a self-assessment screen for COVID-19 symptoms BEFORE arriving/entering school (see Essential Visitors
• Essential visitors must check their own temperature (fever > 37.8˚C)
• Monitor for signs and symptoms (including atypical symptoms) of COVID-19
• If any signs or symptoms, essential visitors must not enter school.

Hand washing

Hand hygiene is one of the most important protective strategies. Hygiene education and routines will be explicitly taught and reinforced regularly. Training on hand hygiene, including the use of alcohol-based hand rub and its use will be reinforced.

Personal Items

Limit personal belongings being brought into school. Any personal items brought to school should be labelled and kept in an area designated for personal use and should not be handled by others. Items should be cleaned and disinfected prior to use.

Drop-off /Pick-up Procedures

Drop-off/pick-up procedures include:
• Only one designated parent/guardian drop-off/pick-up
• Outdoor drop-off/pick-up
• Physical distancing
